Wrought Iron Hand Railing Exterior

The wrought iron hand railing exterior is made from carbon steel tubes, solid steel bars or forged decorative components. Cutting, bending, welding and assembly processes are used to produce railings with both boundary functions and decorative details.

The structure can be designed in a modern, classic European, vintage or traditional courtyard style. Top profiles, curved lines, spearheads, rings and ornamental elements can be combined according to the building elevation and project drawings.

Common railing heights range from 900 to 2,400 mm. Standard panel widths are generally between 1,500 and 2,500 mm. Post sections can range from 40×40 to 80×80 mm, while decorative bars commonly use 12×12, 14×14 or 16×16 mm solid square steel.

The forming and welding properties of steel allow the railing to be matched with stonework, brick walls, courtyard gates, wall columns and traditional building façades. Typical applications include villa gardens, hotels, estates, residential boundary walls, scenic areas, commercial streets and historically styled buildings.

Available outdoor surface treatments include hot-dip galvanizing, zinc-rich primer, powder coating and other outdoor coating systems. For humid environments, hot-dip galvanizing followed by powder coating can be considered as a combined surface protection solution.

Because decorative ironwork contains many welded joints and connected ornaments, buyers should check the welds, corners, cut edges, drainage holes and closed ends. These areas may require particular attention because moisture can collect around complex joints. Long-term outdoor performance should therefore be evaluated according to the actual installation environment and surface treatment.
