Compared with a standard ground-level fence, this type of railing requires attention to fall prevention, climbing risks, wind load, bridge vibration and long-term outdoor corrosion. Common railing heights range from 1,100 to 1,400 mm. Post spacing is normally between 1,000 and 2,000 mm.
Posts can be manufactured from 60×60 to 120×120 mm square tubes or from project-specific steel sections. Available infill structures include vertical bars, steel wire mesh, perforated metal panels and laminated glass. The final configuration should be selected according to the bridge structure, public access requirements and urban landscape design.

Anti-Climb and Project-Specific Configurations

For public pedestrian areas, the railing can use a structure with fewer horizontal footholds to reduce climbing opportunities. Panels and posts may also be divided according to bridge sections, expansion joints, corners and changes in direction.
Depending on the project drawings, the system can be coordinated with anti-throw mesh, lighting components or decorative landscape elements. These additions should be considered together with the main railing structure rather than treated as separate visual accessories.
Surface treatment options include hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating after galvanizing or a project-specified heavy-duty corrosion protection system. The selected treatment should reflect the actual outdoor environment and maintenance requirements.
A Footbridge Railing should not be evaluated only by post size or exterior appearance. Railing height, structural load, wind load, vibration conditions, foundation connections and anti-throw requirements should be confirmed by the project design team.

These facilities can process posts, panels, base plates, connection parts and irregular steel components.
Before production, the sales, design and engineering teams can review the bridge edge condition, embedded part positions, panel divisions and installation sequence. Coordination between production, surface treatment and installation departments helps improve the fit between the manufactured railing and the bridge connection points.
Sampling, Inspection and Shipment
Customization is available according to CAD drawings, 3D models or physical samples. One set can be accepted for a large custom project. A pre-production sample can be prepared to confirm structural dimensions, surface color and connection details.
The normal production period is approximately 15–25 working days, depending on order quantity, infill structure and surface-treatment complexity. Progress photos or videos covering cutting, welding, grinding, coating and completed products can be provided every 3–5 days.
Before packing, the factory checks dimensions, welds, coating condition and appearance. Foam protection is added to exposed corners, and the finished sections are secured with an external frame and stretch film. Buyers may also arrange a third-party factory inspection before shipment.
